The first edition of the Jeunes Ballets Festival took place in Geneva from Tuesday 10 to Saturday 13 May 2017 at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices and at the Dance Area School.
For this 1st edition, the festival brought together five European junior companies. The festival included two evenings of shows, each showcasing three or four junior companies. Workshops and masterclasses were also given over three days for the dancers of the junior companies.
Students from local dance schools have also benefited from the teachings of renowned teachers and company directors through specially organized classes for them.
If more than 2,000 spectators, from Geneva and elsewhere, were able to take part in this first festival in honor of young dancers, it is largely thanks to the support of our patrons, companies and individuals. We wish to express our deepest gratitude to them.
